SICA manufactures its plastic pipe cutting machine in India through SICA Plastic Machinery Pvt. Ltd., a Mumbai joint venture between SICA Italy (downstream pipe machinery since 1962) and Satellite Plastic Industries (European machinery service in India since 1984). The result is Indian-made machinery backed by Italian engineering and local after-sales support, spares and maintenance.
SHARPSAW — inline cutting for every common pipe material
The cutting machine in the range is SHARPSAW, which cuts and chamfers HDPE, PPR, PVC and PP. The D version uses a planetary disc rotary system with servo motors for PVC and PP; the K version uses a planetary knife system for HDPE and PPR. A hydraulically driven cutting arm with a feeler pin handles thick-walled and out-of-round pipe, while chip extraction and dust collection keep the floor clean.
Clean, swarfless cuts
SHARPSAW is engineered for clean, swarfless cuts without material wastage — important for both yield and joint quality. For the engineering detail behind each cutting mechanism, read Four Fundamental Types of Plastic Pipe Cutting Machines, and for the production-floor advantage, Revolutionizing Plastic Pipe Cutting: The SHARPSAW Advantage.
Why source from SICA in India
Locally built machines avoid CE-related cost for the Indian market and neighbouring countries that do not require it, with SICA’s downstream equipment already running at leading PVC and HDPE pipe producers.
